Solo exhibition “Unseen: a journey into inner worlds” at Slice of life Vancouver, Sept 2025
‘Bent Tree’ was inspired by observing the people who live on the streets of East Downtown, but I wanted to paint something about the concept of endurance. This tree bends and curves, yet continues to bloom and grow. The branches reach down to touch the earth, staying connected to the ground that sustains all life. It’s about how we can be bent by adverse circumstances but still find ways to flourish: even when life pushes us to our limits, there’s always potential for growth and connection to something larger than ourselves.
